My Uncle Colin made me a pair of stilts about 60 years ago during a visit and only very recently have they seen the end of their days ! I also remember that around the same sort of time in my childhood he took me to his archery club and following that visit I went home with homemade aluminium arrows (correctly aligned to 1000th of an inch) and various other archery accessories that he made, plus an 'Uncle Colin modified' bow, as I am left handed......still have most of that as well!
